| NYC City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color, Riverside Rose, Metropolitan Mauve and Nolita Neutral |
NYC jumped on the jumbo lip crayon wagon and brought us their Cityproof Twistable Intense Lip Color. They have been available in the states for some time, but are finally making their way to Canada. They retail for $3.99 and you should be able to grab them at any retailer that sells NYC. I know for a fact that Wal-Mart will be getting these as I have seen the display case in their permanent display already (haven't gotten the actual product yet though). I managed to get my paws on these from the states.
As far as packaging goes, they are the typical plastic twist-up crayon style. They are a little cheap feeling though. I don't much love the caps as they are clear and oddly shaped. They did do a good job on matching the colour of the packing to the colour of product inside though. So props to them.
The product itself has a slight sweet smell to them, which doesn't bother me, but if you hate scented lip products, you might want to pas on these. The scent doesn't linger though.
The formula is not long wearing either. You will get about an hour of wear for full pigmentation. They are nicely pigmented though and have a slight glossy finish. They are comfortable enough to wear even after they have lost their glossiness. They are also easy to layer if you wanted to change the colours a bit. I liked layering Metropolitan Mauve with Nolita Neutral to get a toned down pinky-nude colour.
Riverside Rose
Rosey mauve colour with decent pigmentation and a buildable coverage.
Metropolitan Mauve
Blue toned pink that does not at all have any mauve to it, so I'm not sure how they got that name.
Nolita Neutral
Peach-pink toned nude. It doesn't make you look dead at all.

All in all, these are nice lip crayons, but not my go to. I own a lot of these style of jumbo lip crayons and while, the colour selection is great with NYC, the lasting power sucks. I prefer Rimmel's Color Rush Balm Stains and Hard Candy's All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stains.
