Products Used
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtream Wear Nail Color - No. 270 Lacey Lilac
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtream Wear Nail Color - No. 120 Hot Magenta
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
Dotting Tool
Sheet of paper
First you paint your nails in your base colour. I chose to use Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtream Wear Nail Color in Lacey Lilac. I Love this line from Sally Hansen. They are opaque
Let that base colour dry for a minute, then apply a fast drying top coat. I chose to use Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. It's does a great job at smoothing out your base colour if there are any streaks and it dries really quick and hard. It's the only one I use and I have gone through 5 bottles in the last year.
After a couple of minutes, your nails should be dry enough to start the nail art. Grab your second nail polish and drip a small amount on a sheet of paper. This will make using the dotting tool much easier.
Place a small amount of nail polish onto the the dotting tool and make a small line on your nail. Repeat the process in the opposite direction to form a heart. Do this as many times as you want. Once you are done, let it dry for at least five minutes. Then apply your top coat. Let dry and voila! Pretty Valentines Day nailart!
